THE PACK ON THE WAY UP

PERSONAL appearance spots on Radio Luxembourg spectaculars. Television appearances. Repeated "plugging" on commercial radio. And live shows alongside established pop stars.
This is now the life of the five young men from Calne who make up The Pack, and who released their first disc, Do You Believe In Magic, two weeks ago.
On Radio Luxembourg, the group played their number to a live audience.
Then two members of the group were interviewed by pop personality Shaw Taylor.  Vocalist Rod Goodway introduced the other members of the group and bass guitarist and co-manager Brian Gregg described how The Pack won their contract with the famous Micky Most organisation.
Quite a thrill for the lads who, a few months ago, played village hops for pocket money.
But there was more to come.
Next on the agenda was the recording of a Discs-a-Gogo, the popular TWW beat show. The recording will be shown shortly.
Other events have included the purchase of a spectacular set of stage clothes, plus dance hall dates with such top stars as Dusty Springfield.
Last week came the best news of all - "Do You Believe In Magic" jumped into Radio London's "Fabulous Fourty" at number 22.
More television dates are expected in the near future. And soon the boys hope to see the disc putting in an appearance in the nation-wide Top Twenty charts.
